V3.co.uk have released a list of what they rate the top 10 business applications for the iPhone. So, with a short summary, here they are;
10. Find my iPhone (Free). Register your phone and log into me.com to reveal its location if misplaced.
9. CoPilot UK and Ireland (£19.99). Includes traffic updates and speed camera warnings. Regularly updated.
8. Dropbox (Free). Cloud storage, Word Files, Spreadsheets and Powerpoints storage and viwing facilities.
7. Flight Tracker Pro (£5.99). Flight schedules, delays using airport warnings and weather alerts.
6. Analytical App (£3.99). Tracking device of visitor visitors to websites, includes 55 different reports.
5. Timewerks: Mobile Billing (£5.99). Tracks time and materials for businesses, invoice reminders and records.
4. Wyse PocketCloud Pro (£8.99). Allows access to home or work computers from your iPhone/iPad. Can access multiple devices.
3. Bloomberg (Free). Up-to-date financial information and global market tracking.
2. iXpenselt (£2.99). Expense management programe. Track and store receipts, photograph documents and record expenditure.
1. Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite (£5.99). Access, view and edit documents on the go. Includes Mobileme, Dropbox and Google doc access as well as all Microsoft products within the Apple OS.

Apple release iOS 5 update


Over 200 new features boast company



Apple have released the final long awaited iOS 5 software after 7 beta versions since it's first appearance in March, 2011.
Available as a free update, iOS 5 boasts over 200 new features say Apple, including iMessage which allows users to chat and text free of charge.
The new software which powers the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, is deeply tied to Apple's iCloud service that moves photos, apps and settings between iOS devices and acts as a backup solution for users.
Downloadable from iTunes, iOS 5's new features in full are;
iOS 5 Software Update

This update contains over 200 new features, including the following:

Notifications
  • Swipe from the top of any screen to view notifications in one place with Notification Center
  • New notifications appear briefly at the top of the screen
  • View notifications from lock screen
  • Slide the notification app icon to the right on the lock screen to go directly to the app

iMessage
  • Send and receive unlimited text, photo, and video messages with other iOS 5 users
  • Track messages with delivery and read receipts
  • Group messaging and secure encryption
  • Works over cellular network and Wi-Fi*

Newsstand
  • Automatically organizes magazine and newspaper subscriptions on Home Screen
  • Displays the cover of the latest issue

Reminders for managing to do lists
